EFT — Emotionally Focused Therapy
EFT looks at the role emotions play in how we relate to ourselves and others. It’s built on the idea that our deepest needs in relationships are safety, connection and belonging, and that painful patterns often come from these needs going unmet.
In practice, EFT helps you slow down and notice what’s underneath your reactions, not who’s right or wrong, but what you’re actually feeling and what it’s telling you about what you need.
It’s particularly useful if you find yourself caught in the same relationship cycles, struggle to be vulnerable, or feel shut down or overwhelmed in close relationships.
