“Why this might be different”

Fifteen years working as an attachment-based couples therapist has given me a rare depth of understanding of relationship dynamics, and heavily informs the way I now help individuals cultivate healthier, more satisfying relationships.

PACT — Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy

PACT, developed by Dr Stan Tatkin, draws on neuroscience and attachment theory to explain how our earliest experiences shape the way our nervous system responds in close relationships.

When we feel threatened or insecure, we often react from a more primitive part of the brain rather than our thoughtful mind, and these reactions can drive conflict and disconnection in ways that feel confusing and hard to control.

While PACT was developed for couples, the insights translate well to individual work, helping you understand your own nervous system patterns in relationships and develop the capacity to stay grounded even when things get difficult.

Taking the Next Step

If this describes something you are living with, you are welcome to get in touch to talk about working together. You do not need to have it all worked out first, and you do not need to be certain about what you want to do about the relationship itself. Making sense of it is where we begin.
